  • Thank you for stopping by my blog.
    A few randoms about me:
    My favorite Bible verse is "I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." Psalm 16:8 ~ I grew up in the small town of Ozark, Alabama. I lived in the same house all my life until I moved to Auburn to study art. ~ I was and always will be a Daddy's Girl. ~ Don't be surprised if I steal a hug from your little one during your session. ~ I have a degree in art. And yes, you can be a "fairly" normal person and have a degree in art :) ~ I am thankful for my Mama and all that she has taught me. She is an incredibly strong woman. ~ I love to sing - I am sure I will be humming the last song I heard before your session when you arrive at the studio. ~ I hope my children are never afraid to be their own person. Walk to your own beat. Others may follow. ~ My nickname is "Lizzie" but only my Daddy called me that. ~ I met my husband,Todd, in April 1997. We married August 1997. On our third date, he asked me to marry him. ~ I love that my job can stop time. I cry when I take "generation" pictures, Dads dancing with daughters... I think it's one of the most important jobs. So if you see me wiping my eyes, I may just need a minute...You can't get moments back, but photography can help you remember.

A Year of New Changes…

I hope everyone is having a wonderful new year! Here at the studio we are refreshed and ready for some new and exciting changes! Look for a fresh update in the studio in the coming months! If your images are gracing the display walls, you will be able to purchase them at a drastically reduced rate:)Also, we will be adding a new line of frames to our selections.  New backgrounds and props will be on their way to the studio shortly as well!

As many of you know, I have taken a break from weddings, as my schedule with my children’s activities has grown  to be ever so busy! But I feel the pull to open that option back up. I have had many requests just in the past couple of weeks and I feel that God is tapping me on shoulder “Why not?” So… I will not be able to take on many weddings, but I would love to speak with anyone that is interested.

We will also be announcing special “Limited Edition” portraits. We will have the first one in March. It will be at an ouside location for 2 days only. Special pricing and a custom theme will really make these sessions unique. I am beyond excited about these! Look for at least 3 Limited Edition portrait sessions to be available this year. I will announce the date and the theme for the first one by the end of the month.

I can’t possibly post without a few images….so here are some of my favorites!

Henderson Family

What a great family! I have known the Henderson Family for many years – I guess for as long as I have lived in Andalusia! I am so thankful that I was able to capture these images for them! Mrs. Melissa and Mr. Frankie did all of the leg work in finding this great spot. It was absolutely beautiful! I had a great time catching up on where everyone lives now, meeting their children – wow, how time flies! Capturing the relationships of families is one of the most rewarding parts of my job! Here are a few images from our wonderful session!

I haven’t seen Melissa in years but remember her when she use to take piano from my mother. She has a beautiful family and she still looks AMAZING!!!!!

Baby Colt {Andalusia Alabama Newborn Photography}

I have had the most awesome past few weeks I have ever had in my photography career! I have been blessed with the honor of photographing not one, but two newborn deliveries for families that are dear to my heart. I am so very happy for Keith and Carrie! I have had the privilege of photographing their wedding, maternity and now the arrival of Mr. Colt. Words cannot describe the love this family has for one another. I am so very, very blessed to be considered a friend! I can’t wait to see Colt tomorrow for his newborn session and see how much he has grown. He is truly this family’s ray of sunshine! Enjoy!

{summer}

Here are a few images from the past couple of months. I have been blessed to be really busy, so my blogging has been neglected. Also, if you are not already a friend on Facebook, just look me up (Amy Seviour Nichols). I will be posting images to an album on my personal page so my clients can use them for their profile images. Have a great 4th of July weekend everyone!
